When we declare: "Youth is our future!" we are not only trying to demonstrate our respect to the past, we are really striving to ensure the right of youth as a force that has future. That is the emphasis we are taking not only in pursuing youth policy but also in the entire policy of the Party aimed at creating conditions to provide for a successful start in the live and carrier of young boys and girls. We would like young people to be able to get good education, enjoy the right to freely choose profession, start their carrier, be involved in sports and self-study. To really and effectively secure the right of young people to labour, we consider it necessary to create and legally provide for privileges for young people to get a job. The state should provide incentives to employers who create jobs for graduates of educational institutions. It is necessary to create conditions to realise creative potential of young people by providing financial and organisational support to unions of young people in the fields of art and science.

Should there is a need, young people should have an opportunity to combine work and study. The enterprise that provides jobs to students (with mandatory labour safety and social insurance guaranteed), it is necessary to grant certain privileges. The state should comprehensively promote development of various forms of student entrepreneurship.

We welcome active participation of young people in social life. We consider it especially important to develop youth public organisations and involve young people in political activity, participation in resolving actual issues of social reforms. By promoting, in every way, the activity of our youth organisation - Union of Ukrainian Social Democratic Youth - we would like to bring up the generation of politicians and managers that will have to live and work in Ukraine with economic difficulties and financial problems abolished, social apathy and fear of tomorrow will be eliminated. Young social democrats should participate in the activity if sports, form unions of young people based on commons interests, take part in artistic groups. It is important for them to pay considerable attention to bringing up children and teenagers, supervising and mentoring children organisations (like scout ones).

We are striving to make sure that young social democrats in all spheres of life - science, education, politics, entrepreneurship - symbolise success and progress, are associated with fundamental values - freedom, solidarity, justice, high morality, healthy way of life, professionalism and responsibility.

Social democrats realise that there is a certain group of old people that feel nostalgia for the past and this is being used by political forces that are interested in the restoration of the past. The task of social democrats is to strengthen the activity in the organisations of pensioners, veterans to convince them that the future for Ukraine is with social democracy.
